Suzann ("Suzie") Pileggi holds a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a freelance writer and wellness counselor who specializes in the science of happiness and its effects on health and relationships. Her 2010 Scientific American Mind cover story "The Happy Couple" addresses how to create happier marriages based on the science of positive psychology and was selected twice for a special issue. It was included in a 2012 Scientific American Mind special issue on the differences between men and women and is now appearing in a 2016 special issue on sex and the brain. It is also the catalyst for a book she is currently writing on the topic.
